Update

It’s been a super crazy month! My debut novel cam out the same week that I started my It Works! business. I tried a couple of wraps when my first kit are in and had some great results!

I’m psyched! Now, keep in mind that most of what was lost was from tightening close skin (mostly thanks to the twins lol), not weight loss. If I want to lose the weight that I need to, it’ll take some lifestyle changes. Many of my fellow It Works! distributors have seen some incredible results from using The System or the Skinny Pack. The System is a more complete program, and I would love to participate in it, but unfortunately not all of the products are available in Australia yet. So, I’ll be doing the Skinny Pack, which also has fabulous results.

The System

These are the results that my friend saw after only one week on The System! Imagine what we could accomplish after 90 days!!

I am super excited to announce that I now have two friends that will be joining me on my 90 day challenge! I can’t wait to share with all of you how we transform our bodies during this time.

Please remember, it’s important to love and accept yourself for who you are and not what you look like. My goal isn’t to help people be beautiful, it’s to help people get healthy! Your self esteem should come from within, not the mirror. (But, let’s face it, it would sure feel pretty good to get down to our goal weights.)

My goal: 30 lbs (13 kg) in 90 days

                  That’s 10lbs per month, 2.5lbs per week. It’s important that your goals are not only realistic, but healthy. Thirty pounds in three months is impressive, but certainly not insane.

Goals are much more attainable when you’re working with a team, so jump on board. I’d love to help each other during this time 🙂 I’ll need your success stories as well. You don’t need to purchase anything from me to be a part of the team. The products work (hence the name) and will help support you in getting the results that you’re looking for, but certainly not necessary to get and give support!

I’ll be checking in soon when I get my shipment later this week. We’ll talk about  about moderate exercise, importance of strength training, and food diaries!

Days 1, 2, and 3

I should have known better to think that I would be able to post here every day, especially on weekends. But here it is, Monday and I’m back. Let me catch you up to date…

I received my kit for my It Works! business and my wraps on Friday. I took before pictures, measured, and wrapped. The wrap had an Icy Hot type of feel, almost minty, and had a pleasant mild scent. I chose to leave mine on for 5 hours, despite the recommendations to only wear for 45 minutes the first time to make sure you don’t have a reaction. During this time, I drank lots of water. This is a key supporter for wrapping! The ingredients in the wraps detoxes the area, shrinks fat, skin, and cellulite cells. It’s important to drink lots of water to flush all of this out of your system.

Five hours later, what were my results? No lie, I saw a 4.5 inch waist reduction (wish I had measured my lower stomach instead, because that’s where the most dramatic changes occurred). The wrap continues to work over 72 hours, I continued to measure. In total, with one wrap, I have lost 6.5 inches on my waist! That’s why they call it “It Works!”

A full treatment is four wraps (1 box) and I am currently about to remove wrap #2. I’ll share the results wth you tomorrow.

 

I know that I said that I would share my eating as well, but unfortunately I was horrible about writing it down. I kept thinking that I would be able to post something up here for the day, so no need. So much for that idea. Anyway, here’s the gist of it:

I ate things like scrambled eggs with veggies (3egg whites and one whole egg with diced tomatoes, mushrooms, broccoli, and spinach – no butter on the pan. I used nonstick spray), salads with seasoned chicken breast with ranch or vinaigrette dressing, tuna wrap with lettuce, spinach, tomato, cheese, and celery, wholewheat toast with a few tablespoons of baked beans, trail mix (without added sugar), lots of fruit, and plain greek yogurt sweetened with zero calorie natural sweetener. As I get better with this, I’ll share some recipes that I enjoy. I was very proud of myself for getting apple slices at McDonalds for a snack when my husband and I went for a cup of coffee (even though his healthy choice was hotcakes and a hash brown lol).

 

As far as the business goes, I have 3 people who have signed up as loyal customers that are psyched about their journey and am looking for more friends to join me! I can’t wait to hear from you 🙂

Get Your Sexy Back Day 2

Okay, so I think I may not be numbering my days properly, but I think it’s important to make the day that you make a big decision important. Making the decision to get my butt in gear, and smaller, and the decision to join It Works! is a big deal. Starting a business and making a life change are no small feat. Maybe I should make my 90 day challenge a 92 day challenge (since my wraps  will arrive on day three). I’ll have to give it some thought.

Now, what have I been doing with day two? Much of my day had been consumed with book related stuff as my novel just went on presale on Amazon and will be published on Friday! Other than that I’ve been trying to emotionally prepare myself for tomorrow, the real day one. I’ve been thinking about diet choices, recipes, and especially trying to ready myself to make my weight and photos public. That is a very scary thought for someone who won’t even share the info with her own husband! But this is about tracking my results to keep me going and encouraging you to do the same!

I have also spent a bit of time sharing info about these incredible wraps and other products with my friends. I’m also trying to plan a wrap party for Saturday to practice sharing info and hopefully give a few of my friends the bug to join me and get in shape too. Remember, there is strength in numbers! Let’s do this together!

So long as my package arrives on time, I should be receiving all of my business materials along with my body wraps tomorrow, and we’ll begin this journey!

Day One

Ok, long story, short… I’ve gotten fat– not obese, but definitely fat, and the scale isn’t doing much but go up. Like most people in my situation, it’s difficult to get motivated. If you’ve never struggled with your weight, you’d think that weight gain would be motivation enough, but it often has the opposite effect. The more weight that I’ve gained, the more discouraged and depressed I  get. That’s why fad diets are so popular. We want quick results to get us motivated. The problem is, fad diets don’t work, not for long at least.

As we all know, calories, or kilojoules, are energy. If your body doesn’t use that energy, evolution has trained our bodies to save it for a rainy day, fat. Fad diets tend to give you quick results by typically starving your body so that you’ll start burning that fat. The problem is,  when you go off the diet, well, we all know what happens, the weight goes back on and much of the time, even higher than it was to begin with.

Now, please understand me, I am not a fitness expert or a dietician. I’m just an ordinary woman that realises that I need a little help in the form of a jump start. My plan is to retrain myself to treat food for what it is, fuel, without starving myself. I will do light to moderate workouts, and I will post a daily diary here, for myself, and for you. Hopefully, I’ll be able to recruit some of you lovely ladies (or men) to join me along the way. Cuz, let’s face it, we all need a cheerleader from time to time! So, without further ado, here is my very simple plan:

 

  1. Order my It Works! Wraps – check (these will give me the instant results that I need to get me motivated to do the following steps)
  2. Once my wraps arrive (due to arrive in 1-2 days), I will apply one wrap at least once per week.
  3. Take before and after photos to keep track of my progress
  4. Drink at least 8 glasses of water per day (may seem a lot, but all it is is 4 plastic water bottles per day. you can do that!)
  5. Daily weigh in’s at the same time of day (I’ll do morning after using the toilet)
  6. Eat healthy = lots of fresh fruits and veggies, whole grains, lots of protein, and MINIMAL sugar. I’m not going to be unrealistic. I plan to limit sugar, not cut completely.
  7. I will journal daily, here, posting my results, foods, pics, weight, and even my failures.
